Horse Riding Chaps NZ

We have both Kids Horse Riding Chaps and Adults Horse Riding Chaps. Choose from Leather Chaps, Suede Chaps or Synthetic Chaps.  Leather chaps give the look of wearing a tall boot, while suede chaps give a bit more grip. Size charts are available for most chaps, so if you aren't sure please check.  The fit of chaps should be firm around your calf so the do not slip or bunch up, but not so tight that the put pressure on the zip.  You do not need chaps for horseback riding. However, if you are riding in jodhpur boots or paddock boots, consider wearing half chap to stop chaffing and for added protection against the elements. Wearing Full Chaps for riding – and even for mucking out and yard work – protects the rider from the cold, wind and wet. Wearing waterproof full chaps should allow riders to spend more time riding. often worn on a rider's lower leg, Half Chaps are there to provide a level of support and protection. They help to prevent rubbing and chafing which can be caused by stirrup leathers and riding pant legs that could otherwise twist, wrinkle, rub or rise up. Half chaps are tightly fitted leather, synthetic leather, or suede pieces of fabric that go around the lower half of the leg. They add support and protection to the rider's lower leg. These help prevent chafing from the stirrup leather and keep your breeches from riding up while you're in the saddle.
